A perfect little salt dish or catch-all for food prep, small jewelry or coins. Made by hand with locally sourced clay in Baja, México.
These clay salt dishes are made by a group of women in a small town in the mountains of southern Baja. The clay is locally harvested and prepared. Each piece is then shaped by hand, and ground fired to finish. The ground firing process creates unique markings and colors, resulting in beige and brown colors with black marks. Every dish is slightly different, and each one is signed by the maker on the bottom.
