Ground-fired small clay planter handcrafted in the Pai Pai community of Baja, México. The beautiful black markings are a result of the firing process, making each piece entirely unique. This planter is suitable indoors or outdoors. Try it with a cactus, succulents, or a hardy pothos plant to add greenery to your space.
The clay planter is designed and handmade by Daria Mariscal in a remote town of northern Baja, México. Daria harvests and processes local clay, and shapes each vase by hand before burnishing, sun drying, and ground firing to finish. This pottery technique has been practiced by generations of Pai Pai members, an indigenous community in Baja pre-dating the Spanish settlement with currently less than 200 people. Daria speaks Pai Pai and Spanish.
Due to the handmade nature of the pieces, each one will vary slightly in size, shape, and appearance.
